Why Insure Our Survival?
Insure Our Survival is focusing mass nonviolent direct action on a weak spot in the criminal fossil fuel industry setting our planet on fire – their insurers.
No insurance = no drilling and digging for oil, gas and coal.
Our strategy works. After a week of national street action in February, giant insurers Zurich and major underwriters Probitas announced they would stop insuring new oil and gas projects.
Now Insure Our Survival is launching a major and expanding nonviolent direct action campaign for 2024, supported by a coalition of allies, and leading to a Rebel Alliance week of actions on the streets and online kicking off on October 28.
